Who We Are

The California Scholarship Federation, Inc. is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to recognize and encourage academic achievement and community service among middle and high school students in California. There are approximately 1500 chapters in middle school and high schools throughout the state, and each chapter is comprised of students members who meet eligibility requirements.

LIFE MEMBERSHIP--Life Membership can be achieved by seniors who have been members for four of the last six semesters of high school (One(1) must be during senior year using senior year transcripts).

  • In order to become active members of CSF, students must submit their application at the beginning of each semester (due during the first 3 weeks of the semester) and pay the $5 dues. Those who fail to submit an application AND pay their dues will not receive credit for that semester. No exceptions will be made.
  • A Note to Freshmen: According to CSF bylaws, 9th graders are considered “junior/associate members,” meaning that they are still  “active” members of CSF, but their semesters do NOT count toward Life or 100% member status upon graduation.
