Welcome to Math!

My name is Meghan Anderson and I am one of the mathematics teachers here at Liberty High School.  I was born and raised here in the Central Valley and am happy to call the Ranchos my home.  I obtained my bachelor's degree in mathematics and my teaching credential from Fresno Pacific University. After completing college I taught at Central High School for 9 years. While I loved my time there, I really wanted to be more involved in the community I live in.  And so, I made the move to GVUSD, and I couldn't be happier!  I am very excited to begin my 15th year of teaching and my 6th year here at Liberty High. I will be guiding our students through the world of Math 1 and Math 2, as well as Contemporary Math, throughout this 2021-2022 school year.  LHS will be having a full in person start to the school year and I am thrilled to have all my students back in my room each day.  This year we will use a variety of techniques to work through the mathematical concepts we learn throughout the school year ranging from online activities and tasks to hands-on and paper ones.  Google Classroom is our key tool both inside and outside of the physical classroom as it is through this site that students will find information and assignments for all of their classes.  While this year may be very different than any other, we will all help each other adjust and get through it together, and I am thrilled to be going on this journey with each of you!
