My name is Mr. James Chance. I am the Digital Video instructor at Liberty High School. I am so excited to be a teacher in my hometown. This gives me a chance to be more involved with my community with my students as well as being involved more with my own kids and their school activities. I'm also the girls Tennis coach.

 

Teaching Digital Video is a great opportunity for students to learn the basics of video filming and editing. It gives students a first look at learning what it takes to put together a video story or a creative way to express their artistic editing skills.

 

I also teach DV ROP. Which has been a great way to challenge students in its highest level at LHS. DV ROP pushes students to storytell as a writer, producer, cameraman, or an anchor or reporter. The class has learned to work together in groups or solo, understanding the real life expectations with company deadlines. This class has pushed students to really understand how the job industry works in TV and in filming.
