Today you will be taking your first chapter test. It is very important that you follow all of the directions! Please do not work on this before our scheduled class period as I want to make sure everyone understands all the directions BEFORE starting the test. You will need to go to Math XL and open the test that has been assigned to you. The test is timed and you cannot re-enter it, so it must be done all at one time and you cannot spend more than 120 minutes on it. On a piece of paper you need to write down each problem and show ALL WORK for each problem (you cannot just write the answer down) on your paper. This work typically will include all of the steps for solving the equation/inequality for the variable (make sure you show every single step), but there are some problems that don't really have work to show, on these problems you must write an explanation for how you decided on the answer you got. There must be information about EVERY SINGLE PROBLEM beyond just the problem and the answer. When you have completed all the questions on the test you need to take a picture of your paper with all of the work and attach it to this assignment and turn it in here on Classroom. Each question on the test is worth 4 points; you get 1 point for the correct answer on Math XL and 3 points for the work you have shown (so the work is more important than the answer). If you do not turn in a picture of your work you cannot get a passing score.
