Did you do anything special or different for Memorial Day/3 Day weekend?
We took the trailer up north to camp (if you can call it camping...really just parked in a field lol) for a shooting competition. It was nice to have life seem somewhat normal for a couple of days. Definitely tired after not being used to really going places!

Due:
Bow-quet! Create your best of 1 of each of the 4 bows, floral taped together to 1 stem for grading TODAY
Due:
Pass out white paper to the students. They are going to create a picture/mosaic of whatever they want using parts of flowers and greenery. Bring the buckets from the center of the cooler out to the classroom - leave the ones along the wall with curly willow/greenery...using those still for orders to come. They can use the glue sticks in their groups top drawers (there should be 4 in each drawer) to attach the parts of the flowers to the paper. If they need hot glue for maybe a stem or something larger, they can get that out (2nd drawer under the phone box) and make sure to have a paper towel underneath of it to catch drippings. They can not use any flower as a whole on their pictures/mosaic. They must use the parts deconstructed. Leaves can be cut down as well. Think outside the box. If they are working well and do not finish their picture, they can lay them on shelves in the cooler to continue on Monday. if they stay on the counters, they will dry and shrivel and not look the same.
Due:
Read CH 4, complete the worksheets(hard copy turn in Thurs) and study guide (google doc, SUBMIT HERE BY THURSDAY)
20 points here for SG, worksheets are separate 25 points)
Due:
You are going to create a color wheel in any way, shape, form of your choice. It can be 2D or 3D. It must include the color wheel 12 colors in order somehow. You can think outside of the box...just because it is a color "wheel" does not mean it has to be a "circle". Be creative! You can use hot glue guns, glue sticks, scissors, markers, etc from the classroom in class. If you have special requests of tools/materials to use, just shoot me an email to ask :)

You are going to get a hard copy in class today and we are going to complete it together. Then you need to transfer the informaton to the electronic copy to submit. Keep the hard copy as a reference for throughout the year. Normally, we will just do electronic ones, and normally you will just have 1 day to complete and submit. However not every grade level has their computers yet, so that is why we are going to make a reference one on paper and you have extended time to get it submitted online.
Due:
For the emblem - You are going to create an Emblem of their life. Similar to the FFA emblem. The Corn for unity, the Eagle for freedom, the owl for knowledge and wisdom, the plow for hard work and labor, the rising sun for a new day and a new era, and the words Ag Education & FFA for the purpose and means that the organization uses to teach. All the components should make a whole. Look at some on the top of the wall for inspiration. Their emblems should have SIX components, It should be colored in (even if its black and white, like not just drawn pen lines), and on the back they should list the 6 items and describe what they are and what they represent.
Due:
You must pass the quiz with 100% and then sign the bottom of the back page. If you miss questions there will be retake opportunities in class on Friday.
